Over $1 billion pledged to help fight future pandemics

Australia will contribute to a new global fund created to prevent future pandemics following a meeting of the G-20 that took place online this week [20-21 June]. Indonesia, as this year’s host of the Group of 20 meetings, says more than $(Aus)1.6 billion has already been pledged by attendees, including the US, Germany, Singapore, and the European Union.
