At the post-match press conference, after India were handed a heartbreaking defeat in the semi-final by West Indies at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, an Australian journalist asked if MS Dhoni was contemplating retirement.
Now those who know Captain Cool Dhoni know how he has reacted to his retirement rumours in the past.
So on Thursday, when Dhoni was asked the same question again, he once again proved why he is the coolest captain Indian Cricket Team has ever had.
Unperturbed and completely at ease after their loss, Dhoni called the scribe Samuel Ferris over and asked him if he wanted him to retire.
A rattled Ferris said no but Dhoni did not stop there.
Here’s how it unfolded. All in good humour.
Scribe: Do you think you can continue playing on after this tournament?
Dhoni: Come here! Come please let's have some fun. Please come.
Then Dhoni proceeds to ask: You want me to retire?
Scribe: No! No!
Dhoni: I was hoping it was an Indian media guy, because I can't really say if you have a brother or a son who can play for India or is a wicketkeeper. But do you think I am unfit?
Scribe: No.
Dhoni: How is my running?
Scribe: Very fast
Dhoni: You think I can survive till the 2019 World Cup?
Scribe: Sure, yes!
Dhoni: Then you've answered the question!

This is not the first time Dhoni has pulled a scribe’s leg. After India had defeated Bangladesh in a thriller in Bangalore, a reporter asked Dhoni if he was very satisfied with the one-run win after stressing on the need to boost up the net run-rate in the Super 10s stage.
Dhoni had come back with a rather sharp retort.
But today India, once considered the favourites to win this world cup, are now out of the tournament.
