The videos are claimed to be of the scenes after a Diwali fair which was organised in Auckland.
A video shows a brawl that erupted after a man was hit by a black car. The footage captioned ‘Daymmm - Diwali celebration goes horribly wrong [sic]' shows a man in Red Kurta and Choodidar standing in the middle of the road trying to stop a car.
The car instead of stopping hits the man. This leads to many others attacking the vehicle and one another. Two men can be seen pushing each other on the road and one punching other.
According to the New Zealand Herald, police received multiple reports of disorder on Sunday night. ‘There were three disorder-related arrests that night. We're unable to confirm if the people arrested relate to this video, however,” a police spokeswoman has been quoted saying by the New Zealand Herald.
