Two Indian students have died in a horrific car crash in Western Australia

On Sunday 6th of March evening, five young Indian students returning to Perth from a weekend road-trip had a head–on collision.

On Sunday 6th of March evening, five young Indian  students returning to Perth after a weekend road-trip had a head–on collision. Two young men Seshagiri Medavarapu and Arvind Kumar Samala died at the scene. 

Three others, namely Nishitha Rasam, who is the wife of Arvind Samala is a student of University of WA), Nishanth Dara, Priyadarshini Baniya ( Nishanth’s wife) were critically injured and are being treated at Royal Perth Hospital. The accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling collided with another car. Two passengers from the other car are also reported dead.

Currently, the bodies of the deceased are kept in the mortuary at Sir Charles Gardner Hospital (Perth). The bodies will soon be handed over to funeral agency for repatriation to India after acquiring the  required clearances. The Indian consulate in Perth and High Commission in Canberra have been contacted and the required help has been assured.

Relatives of the injured are arriving Perth and the required paperwork for their visas is being arranged.
