Kesar peda is a classic Indian sweet made for festive occasions. They are delicious and made with very few ingredients like milk powder, cardamom and saffron. This is a easy recipe to make.

Ingredients
- ½ cup condensed milk
- 1 cup milk powder
- 4-5 tbsp saffron mixed in some hot milk
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp butter/ghee
- 5-6 almonds halved (for garnishing)
Method
- Heat a saucepan on low heat and add butter.
- Once the butter melts, add milk powder.
- Mix this and add the condensed milk.
- Mix again.
- Add the saffron milk mixture.
- Mix again.
- Keep steering this constantly once you see that the mixture is not sticking the pan and lumping up, turn the heat off and add the cardamom powder.
- Mix this and let the dough mixture cool down slightly.
- While its still warm, make small peda shapes from the dough and insert one almond on top for garnishing.
- Let the peda cool down completely before serving.
- Yummy kesar padha is ready.
