Alana Kushnir is an art lawyer, curator and founder of the Guest Work Agency, the first art / law firm in Australia. Alana has also held the position of the Principal Investigator at the Legal Lab for the world-renowned Serpentine Gallery. In addition to her work, Alana is a board director to a handful of art-associated museums and foundations. Despite the recognition that Alana has garnered for her career over the years, after the attacks on October 7th 2023, Alana has had her own battles closer to home defending Israel's actions in the politically-divided art landscape, which resulted in her resignation from the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. Since then she has maintained her role as a community advocate and has recently joined the board of the Jewish Museum of Australia.
