A person with disabilities that experienced extreme anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts due to bullying, created the campaign "Beet the root cause of bullying". By soaking in a bath full of beetroot juice for 24hours, Jared Warden wanted the world to see that people who bully are like murderers.

Jared Benjamin Warden has been living with disabilities all his life, being hearing impared and on the autism spectrum. He has also experienced bullying both in his personal life and workplaces, on many occasions.

In the past bullying and harassment drove him to extreme anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and drug abuse. He managed to overcome his drug adiction 8 years ago, but the root cause of his problems, being bullied,  continued till last year.  His anxiety and suicidal thoughts returned, but having lost two of his mates by suicide, he decided to take a different personal action against bullying.

During his campaign "Beet the root cause of bullying"  Jared bought 800 kg of beetroots, juiced them, filled a whole bathtub and soaked himself in their red juice for 24 hours, while broadcasting live on social media.

When asked why he choose this course of action, he mentioned that beetroot juice is like the victims blood and he wanted to point out that "bullies are like murderers".

Jared Warden also wants to share a message of hope for all victims of bullying. That by coming together they can overcome acts of bullying. He envisions to create a safe workplace for people with disabilities in the future, where they can all "beet the root cause of bullying" together.
