As the 22-year old explains in the post he shared on a Facebook group for Greek Australians, he was motivated to create the for lack of a similar all-inclusive ‘directory’ of Greek churches existing.
I have wanted to make this since I was 14 years old. This project took me ages, required a lot of prior research as well as some churches have limited information on them.
The mapping covers predominantly Greek Orthodox churches, but also chapels, monasteries, cathedrals and Greek Evangelical churches.
Every entry is accompanied by the corresponding church photo.
Whilst shared the initiative had a positive ‘side-effect’ in bringing closer faithful from all around Australia.
