Mr Angelodemou cited personal and family commitments he has undertaken in Cyprus, as well as the developments of the past 12 months as reasons that led to his decision.

The move, he points out will prompt the convening of a General Assembly to elect a new Board Council.

Stating committed to continue serving the Community in a non – leadership capacity from now on, Mr Angelodemou referred to some highlights from his four-year tenure, including the launch of Haloumi Festival, a first ever book focusing on the history of Cypriots in Australia and  kickstarting building plans for the Community’s new centre.
