Women in the pulpit

There is still no priestly ordination for women in the Catholic and Orthodox Church. In the Protestant Church, however, the spiritual office is open to both women and men - at least in Germany. However, this has not been the case in Australia so far and this has led to tensions with the German Evangelical Lutheran church in that country. Hopefully this dispute has now been resolved, says Christian Hohl, pastor of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church Sydney.
