According to Ukrainian military intelligence, Russia is said to have brought North Korean soldiers to the Kursk region. They are supposed to support Russian troops in the fight against the Ukrainian offensive. In the past week, footage of thousands of North Korean troops appearing to be training in eastern Russia had already set alarm bells ringing. It is the first time that North Korea has sent so many troops abroad. It is now feared that this development could lead to a military escalation not only in the Ukraine conflict but also in the Asia-Pacific region.
