Christmas at more than 30 degrees Celsius still feels strange to many members of the German-speaking community in Australia. Traditional, heavy dishes can often only be enjoyed with the help of air conditioning, and Christmas songs about a winter wonderland seem curious in the midst of upcoming beach visits. However other parts of the world, celebrate Christmas maybe even more strangely.
