Knowing the extent of calamities that have recently hit the Philippines-, many Filipinos living in Australia are focused on being optimistic this Christmas.

Yolanda Lee expressed her concern for those affected by the six consecutive typhoons that devastated her homeland, sharing her heartfelt wish: "May all calamities in the Philippines come to an end."

Sydney-based author, finance journalist, and editor Michelle Baltazar echoes the same sentiment, manifesting families in Australia "send more assistance to relatives back home".

Filipino community leader and LGBTQI advocate Charles Chan "always thinks of his kababayans, in particular those who are less fortunate". The Flagcom and Friends co-founder says, "Even though they only have little on their table this Christmas, it is important to be thankful that we are together with our families".

Luzette Saez is full of hope that she'll be able to spend this Christmas with her whole family and may she be blessed with a longer life.

His family's health is also on top of Mel Casin's wishes this Christmas along with positively being granted their permanent residency in Australia.
