In a night of songs and merriment, singer Mirasol Loyaga hopes to bring early Christmas cheer to her 'kababayans' in New South Wales.

"For us Filipinos, the most important celebration of Christmas is being together and sharing a banquet no matter how big or small," says the mother-of-four.

'Santa, bring my baby home' is an original song written by songwriter Oliver Gadista dedicated to Filipinos longing to spend Christmas with their loved ones.

"Although we continue to face challenges, and even if we are far from our loved ones, always remember that our love and support for each other keep us through the hard times."

Loyaga admits that she and her Australian husband get the best of both cultures when it comes to celebrating Christmas.

"We had to compromise when it comes to Christmas spending, so we can both celebrate the Filipino way and the Aussie way," she adds.
