In South Sudan, he was a businessman, but that business failed after the economy collapsed in South Sudan. Manyuon decides to return to Kakuma Refugee Camp. Without employment, Manyuon asked a Turkana friend for the small land so that he can try farming.
Kakuma is dry land, and there are no rains often. Manyuon resorted to irrigation. In that farm, Manyuon is facing challenges, but he was able to harvest many plants, including Okra, Cassavas and many more. Manyuon was interviewed by SBS Dinka stringer in Kakuma Refugee camp.
