In recent years, cattle’s raiding is becoming rampant in Yirol area. The night Abui Long Anguat was killed, bandits raided his village, and he was part of those who needed to recover the castles.
“Abui and some of his clansmen were chasing the bandits who raided their cattle camps and that when these soldiers met them. Abui and his colleagues were holding their guns down, but these soldiers jumped out of the vehicle and started shooting. They killed Abui on the spot and then took his weapon.”
After the soldiers killed Abui, they never stop to check him but left the scene with his gun. It is reported that Abui's weapon was not used and the same report is confirmed by one of the soldiers who confessed. These soldiers left the scene and wanted to bypass the town of Mingkaman with no report to the authorities. They were stopped at the checkpoint, but they open fire on the security apparatus on the ground.
“The message when out quickly to the town and the government authorities tried to stop these soldiers at the checkpoint, and they open fire. The officer commanding them was injured, and he was caught. Some of them were arrested with the officer, but four are missing. We may locate them this morning. We are yet to know the result of the night exchange of fire.
