Reflecting on the project, Shah notes, “Our Stories, Our Song is a transformative endeavour that honours migrant experience through art and music, turning personal tales of struggle and triumph into lasting cultural artifacts.”
“Our Stories, Our Songs” also marks a pivotal moment for WOWS, a nonprofit organisation with a diverse membership base spanning 82 distinct cultural, linguistic, and ethnic (CALD) backgrounds.
The organisation is deeply committed to empowering women and their families, fostering unity, and bridging cultural divides within the community.
