Ingredients
- 8 frozen chicken nuggets
- 3 cups frozen French fries
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ red capsicum, thinly sliced
- 1 large green chilli, thinly sliced
Sichuan seasoning
(Makes extra)
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp mild Korean chilli powder
- ¼ tsp toasted sesame seeds
- ¼ tsp sugar
Instructions
- For the Sichuan seasoning, place the Sichuan peppercorns and salt in a dry frying pan and toast for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Grind to a coarse powder with a mortar and pestle, then combine with the remaining ingredients.
- Cook the chicken nuggets and French fries in an air fryer or oven according to the packet directions.
- Heat a wok over high heat, then add the oil. Fry the garlic, onion, capsicum and chilli for about 4 minutes or until softened and lightly browned. Add the nuggets and French fries and season well with the Sichuan seasoning. Toss to combine well, then serve immediately in a brown paper bag.
