Clay pots

Traditionally, Brazilian cooks use clay pots for slow-cooked stews. Feijoada, for one, is almost always served in a clay pot.

Blender

A must-have for the South American kitchen for ensuring finely chopped salsas, smooth soups, and cocktails mixed with ice.

Hand-held lime squeezer

Not an essential item, but clearly useful considering how frequently lime juice is used in Brazilian cooking and, in particular, in the lime-based caipirinhas.
