Nomadic chickens?
We heard that phrase while taking a sneak peek at the first episode of and immediately had visions of free-spirited chickens roosting in little caravans. Turns out, we weren't entirely off the mark...
Nomadic chickens is another name for pastured chickens - free-range chickens that really do free range. They roam free in the paddock, consume as much free grass as they like and have their very own mobile home. This allows their flock owners to move them about so they get a new piece of greenery, what a wandering lifestyle they lead!
Beyond free range
Pastured eggs are the new free range, here's why
So here's why these nomadic chickens are all they're cracked up to be.
They're looking pretty blissed-out in their wide open spaces. Smell that fresh country air, they sure know how to take it all in.
Full of energy, you can bet they're the last ones standing...
What happens around the water cooler stays around the water cooler. There's always time for a little banter.
A little more Vitamin D is never wasted on these chooks - talk about the early bird!
And while moving isn't everyone's thing - one things for sure, there is no shortage of a beautiful view!
