Put down the whisk! Twin sisters and musical duo The Veronicas are whipping up a new tasty business endeavour: a vegan cookbook.

While promoting their latest single, sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso told The Confidential about their “predominantly plant-based” diets as well as their love of cooking.

“It surprises people probably because we are touring so much that they think we don’t have time to cook, but we are always checking in to apartments and obviously when we are at home in LA we are cooking nonstop,” Lisa shares.

As most fans will know, Jess follows a strict vegan diet while Lisa’s diet is heavily plant-based with “vegies mostly”.

The cookbook promises to include “all of [their] favourite recipes” including a peculiar meat-free alternative for a breakfast favourite.

“Coconut bacon, it is unreal,” says Jess. “After you give up meat for about a week, you don’t really crave it anymore. It is really an incredible thing.”

The book is still in the writing stages. A publication date has yet to be announced.
