Simply pull sections apart to serve. The secret is in the way the uncooked dough is cut, coiled then placed into the tin - it’s actually simple to do. You can vary the filling ingredients too if you like, by adding slices of salami or prosciutto, using chopped sundried tomatoes instead of olives, or substituting basil leaves for the oregano. A great way to use up sad-looking herbs and the offcut of your cheeses.

Variety is the spice of life and this neverending sherbet is all kinds of fruity variety. You can keep adding cores and skins of any hard fruits that take your fancy and this fermented colour pop of a drink should break the ice over with good conversation starters and perhaps a game of charades. The liquid will continue to ferment gently and you can keep refreshing the drink with water for up to three months. Don't worry if it starts to taste like vinegar, the easy fix is to use it as vinegar and make another batch.
