The best part of a hangover is not how you got there, it's the free pass you get to eat as many indulgent, greasy foods as you want! Here's our master list to help you with all your post-party cravings.

Recipes to fry up, after you've partied down. 

Burger
We're going to start you off real easy (like Sunday morning, ahhhh) with a classic beef burger with the lot. Cheese, bacon and Worchestershire sauce-spiked beef patties mean there's a lot of punchy flavours to go around.

Feeling a little more adventurous? Try this Dominican take: the chimi borrows its name from the Argentinian sauce, chimichurri, however the meaning behind its moniker is a long-standing mystery, as the two dishes draw no similarities and the buns are usually spread with salsa rosa.

If you feel up for handling some spice - some say that chilli is good to get rid of a raging headache - then these spicy burgers originated on the streets of Xi’an are the answers you're looking for! They are stuffed full of slow-cooked lamb heavily spiced with cumin and an abundance of fiery chillies.

Pizza
Who can be bothered to turn on an oven with a pounding headache? It's okay, we've got the solution for you - all you need is a stove and a skillet, and you're on your way to hangover-pizza heaven.

Sometimes, all you need when you're feeling sluggish and hungover is a little spice kick! Get yours with this Indian spiced pizza, topped with chilli flakes, fennel seeds, and curry leaves.

Gotta love some carb on carb the morning after a big party. If you're not keen on the zucchini flowers, this recipe still works without them. No pizza judgement here!

Chips
No potato? No problem! Any root vegetable can be turned into chips to satisfy the post-party munchies. Just be careful not to handle the mandolin while still drunk - don't say we didn't warn you!

Who said chips had to be made out of vegetables? We are loving these fried cheese sticks made from Queijo coalho, a salty Brazilian cheese.

Fry up

Because you shouldn't have to choose just one fried thing to eat, the morning after the big night out.
Fried green bananas add a semblance of starchy healthiness to this classic fry up of eggs, pancetta and mushrooms.

No one said that a fry-up had to be salty! If something sweet is more up your alley, try this French toast made out of traditional Mexican corn cakes. A food marriage made in heaven.

Beef hash, potato hash...we love them all! This one is made by mixing shredded corn beef with grated potatoes so you get tender salty slivers with every crisp bite. And don't forget that perfectly poached egg for your morning #yolkporn.

If you have some tortillas that are as stale as you're feeling the morning after (so, you know, not the best but still functioning), then put them to good use in this smoky chipotle chilli and eggs. Best part? You can even make the tomato sauce ahead of time to save you some grief on the morning!

No secret 11 herbs and spices here! Just classic fried chicken flavoured with lime and West Indian pepper sauce. So simple, even our hungover selves can't mess it up!

Kara-age is a popular snack at many Japanese bars, and simply uses potato starch to keep things crisp. If you're in the mood for a milder fried chicken, these juicy chicken thighs with a squeeze of lemon and tangy Japanese mayo is sure to hit the spot!

Sweet fried stuff

If salty fried things make you too dehydrated, then surely sweet fried things will make you feel better, right? ;)
Traditionally made for celebrations and special occasions, these deep-fried pastries drizzled with honey are also known as diples. Enjoy them with a cup of strong black Greek coffee - perfect for nursing a raging hangover!

If you feel like you need a little morning-after fruit, try these doughnuts - grappa-soaked raisins are mixed in through the batter, before it's deep-fried and rolled in sugar.

Tarter than the original Bloody Mary, this dirty version features horseradish and the brine from green olives. If your entertaining guests (or have friends in hangover-misery with you), garnish the glass with celery salt and serve with green olive grissini.

For an asian twist to the classic Bloody Mary, swap out spring onions for the celery sticks, and use Japanese spice blend shichimi togarashi to give it its spice kick.

If you're a bit too far gone to enjoy vodka in your hangover cure, then try this Mexican version, which uses beer instead. The recipe varies from region to region like many popular Mexican dishes, but basically lime, chilli, salt, hot sauce and cold beer come together in a chilled glass. And if you don't feel like you can stomach any substantial food, that's okay too - this recipe also comes with instructions for a cayenne-spiced popcorn that you can nibble on while you nurse your drink.
